My name
is Dan (KSDAN on Flocknockers) and I purchased the red and clear short reed
call from you at Marshland in Great Bend on Saturday (8/23/2003). I just wanted to drop you a note of
thanks. I had been thinking of buying a
short reed for awhile and just could not get myself to spend that much money on
a call that I was not sure I would ever figure out how to make sound like a
goose. After spending most of Saturday afternoon working with the call and then
the last 5 hours here at work I can honestly say that this call was worth every
bit I paid for it. Trust me I have a
long way to go with it but I already have it making more and better sounds than
I ever got with my flute calls. I truly
appreciate the help you gave me in the store not only with the call but also in
picking out the finisher blind. I will
probably be looking you up for help with the calling in the future and I am
sure I will need more calls as well.
Thank
you,
Dan
I’m sure
you remember me, you made me a custom Snow Goose call in clear and white. I had
lost your card and could never find any mention of you on the web until now, I
found your email on Tim Strunk's website.
Well let
me tell that call kills, flat out. I blow it in combination
with a
Ron Weinike call and it works better than any I have used before. It's a bit
tricky cause you never really know how the reed is going to break from one
blast to the next. But I have found that the unpredictableness lends to snow
goose calling, especially when you have the birds up close and are trying to
mimic several birds at once.
Thanks,
Jerod
Thanks!!
I love the call I got from you this fall, I probably couldn't have that picture
without it. Less than an hour in the field once it was light out.
Ron
